Oldies

With this project (with no name yet) I started 2010.Vitor Patalano (Sao Paulo) and Juan Pablo Gariglio (Buenos Aires) are two friends and musicans that had the idea to go to an extreme place (Ushuaia), far away from everything to record an album composed and played completely there. All from 0. They invited me to go with them and register the whole process.
Vitor drove from Sao Paulo loaded with instruments to Buenos Aires, where he joined Juan and me. After a couple of days organizing stuff we packed the rest of the equipment (more instruments and camera) and drove deep down to Usuahia in Tierra del Fuego, a place known as the End of the World.
We arrived there on new years eve, and after a sweet hangover on the 1st, they started recording their songs on a little cabin 5 meters away from the Beagle Channel.
In the end, a total of 12.000 km, through Brazil, Chile ad Argentina, 30 days locked up in the cabin and 10 days on the road. They recorded 30 songs in a month and I came back to Barcelona with 40 hours of video and 200 pictures.
Now I'm in the process of editing all the material. The idea is to come up with a documentary
a book with all the pictures and obviously the album they've recorded there.
Here is the flickr address with all the pics and soon a trailer of the movie.

Ah! If anyone is interest in helping financing the documentary or publishing the book,
we will be very happy!

Enjoy!
